CNN: In a blow to IBM, Apple anounced that it will partner with Intel and begin making Macs with Intel chips. IBM hasn’t been able to create fast, low-power chips for the Mac. The switch will cost Apple hundreds of millions in re-engineering their software to work on the Intel chip.
